Danielle is a software developer who loves to build, fix, learn, and help people. She's worked with a number of languages/frameworks and considers herself a generalist. She currently works as a software engineer in Igalia as part of the internal tools team where she develops, integrates, and supports internal tools. Prior to Igalia, she spent 15 years with the Nevada Legislature as a Senior Developer and Research Librarian.
She holds master's degrees in Information Science and Creative Writing, a graduate certificate in Gender, Race, and Identity, and a bachelor's degree in English Literature. She also has an incurable case of imposter syndrome. She lives - with her wife, cats, and rabbits - on the traditional homelands of the Numu (Northern Paiute), Wašiw (Washoe), Newe (Western Shoshone), and Nuwu (Southern Paiute) peoples.

Igalia is an open-source consulting firm specializing in areas such as web standards, web engines and accessibility. In this talk, Danielle Mayabb, from Igalia's tools team, will talk about how Igalia uses FOSS to power the company. She will cover the technologies Igalia uses, how using an open stack compares to a corporate stack, and the pros and cons of each.
